Leggings are the
newest unbelievable fashion fad - and just like jeans-in-boots, it's a trend
you can't ignore.
With celebrities
demonstrating their complete pins in leggings, you'll quickly see the charm of
these 80s throwbacks.
Follow our list
of pros and cons to the latest way to wear leggings:
Choose the right length
Fat ankles, huge
thighs or big calves? Leggings definitely weren’t created for you, but that
hasn’t prevented many a celebrity from wearing them.
Leggings come in
so many lengths. You can choose a pair that stops at the tiniest part of your
calf/ankle to enhance the visual impression. You can choose also capris.
The wrong footwear
Wearing the
wrong shoes with leggings is one of the biggest pitfalls. Bypass trainers at
all prices, unless jogging is on your schedule!
Leggings give
the result of cutting your leg off at the ankle, which makes most legs seem a
tad chunky. Counteract this effect by dressing in cowboy boots, slouch boots,
chunky heels or ballet pumps.
Cover your bum
Cover your bum
with a long jumper, jacket or sweater dress.
Or you can
choose a double-breasted jacket or a long jumper cinched in at the waist with a
belt.
Do carry rather than tights
The simplest and
most fashionable way to wear leggings is to think of them as footless tights.

mini-skirts or dresses for an immediate fashion addition - it will make a
traditional dress look stylish with minimal effort.
Yesterday young
ladies wore leggings to be alluring and sexy, and with high heels, leather
coats, long hair, sexy earrings and dark lips — the look came off as, well,
cheap.
Today not just
young ladies are using leggings with tunics, dresses, and skirts as a
reassurance from the outside world — call it fashion statement! Wear leggings
if your skirt is too short. If you’re cool in your cold office, wear leggings.
If you haven’t shaved your legs, wear leggings. You can try lines, which make
them leg lengthening.
The recent sales
of leggings have been the biggest benefit the hosiery business has enjoyed in
years. While stocking companies are happy about sales, they are supporting
themselves for fall, as Shop Etc. and other publications have named leggings
the number-one essential. This aim has legs!
Do you know the
distinction between footless tights and leggings?
There’s a
difference among leggings and footless tights in the fabric and the sheerness.
Leggings are somewhat bulkier — 89 percent suplex (a cottony soft, performance
fabric), 11 percent lycra spandex. Tights make legs more obvious — 88 percent
nylon, 12 percent lycra spandex. When wearing extra short dresses or tunics, go
with leggings not tights. For a formal look, choose footless tights. These are
not pants, so regularly keep your bum closed with another piece of clothing!
Black or colors?
Black is
chicest, supported by earth tones. Don’t go insane on color here unless you’re
a teenager. Keep it simple and monochromatic.
Can anybody wear these?
Leggings aren’t
for all female. If you have chunky ankles, large thighs or big calves, they are
not performing to be your most favorable look. When you have them, choose a
length that stops at the thinnest part of your calf/ankle for the best visible
effect.
